Supplies needed:
PSP
(I wrote this in X but any version will work)
Animation Shop
Plugins: I.C.NET Software > Filters Unlimited 2
(you can download a DEMO version HERE)
dbs flux > Bright Noise HERE
Tube of choice
Font of choice – I used AlexBrush (it’s a paid font so it can’t be included = (
Mask: No mask for this tutorial
(click on the June archives and scroll down about 3/4 of the way)
Template: Template 6 by me (included in supplies)
Custom Brush & graphic: Lips (included in supplies)
Let’s get started!
Unzip your supplies
Put your lips.pspscript in your PSP Brushes folder
Image > Canvas size = 675 X 675, center placement
Click on background layer and flood fill with white
Delete copyright
Delete sm rectangle layer
(won't be needing it for this one)
Click on flower 1 layer
Selections > Float > Defloat
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #a20067
Deselect
Effects > Plugins > ICNet > Filters Unlimited 2 > Paper Textures > Hemp Paper 2 (use default settings)
Click Apply
Add drop shadow
0, 0, 80, 8.5
Delete flower 1 layer
Click on flower 2 layer
Selections > Float > Defloat
Open missy_sp_paper2
Copy and paste as a new layer
Resize by 80%
Selections > Invert > Delete
Deselect
Add same drop shadow
Delete flower 2 layer
Merge down
Click on flower 3 layer
Selections > Float > Defloat
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #d592bc
Deselect
Effects > Plugins > ICNet > Filters Unlimited 2 > Paper Textures > Canvas, Fine (use default settings)
Click Apply
Add same drop shadow
Rename Flower 3
Delete flower 3 layer
Click on flower 4 layer
Selections > Float > Defloat
Open missy_sp_paper8
Copy and paste as a new layer
Resize by 80%
Selections > Invert > Delete
Deselect
Add same drop shadow
Rename Flower 4
Delete flower 4 layer
Click on flower 5 layer
Selections > Float > Defloat
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #63003d
Deselect
Effects > Plugins > ICNet > Filters Unlimited 2 > Paper Textures > Fibrous Paper, Course
Change Intensity to 190
Click Apply
Add same drop shadow
Rename Flower 5
Delete flower 5 layer
Click on flower 6 layer
Selections > Float > Defloat
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #e0b0ce
Deselect
Effects > Plugins > ICNet > Filters Unlimited 2 > Paper Textures > Mineral Paper, Sandstone
(use default settings)
Click Apply
Add same drop shadow
Rename Flower 6
Delete flower 6 layer
Click on large heart layer
Selections > Float > Defloat
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #5d013d
Deselect
Effects > Texture Effects > Blinds with the following settings:
4, 40, color = black, horizontal and light from left/top checked
Click Ok
Add same drop shadow
Delete large heart layer
Click on small heart layer
Selections > Float > Defloat
Open missy_sp_paper12
Copy and paste as a new layer
Resize by 60% and position within marching ants
Selections > Invert > Delete
Deselect
Add same drop shadow
Delete small heart layer
Click on diamond line layer
Selections > Float > Defloat
Open missy_sp_paper5
Copy and paste as a new layer
Selections > Invert > Delete
Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise
Gaussian, 90, Monochrome checked
Click ok
Repeat Noise
1, 1, 80, 2
Delete diamond line layer
Click on large rectangle layer
Selections > Float > Defloat
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #FFFFFF
Deselect
Effects > Texture Effects > Weave with the following settings:
2, 3, 4, weave color = #91005c, gap color = #91005c fill gaps checked
Click Ok
Add drop shadow
2, 2, 50, 3
Repeat with V/H = -2
Delete large rectangle layer
Click on your small heart layer
Open missy_sp_ribbonbow2
Copy and paste onto your canvas and center over heart
Resize by 70% and free rotate 30 degrees right
Sharpen
Click on your large heart
Selects > Float > Defloat > Invert
Click on your bow layer and erase the ribbon outside of the heart
Deselect
Use your raster deform tool to stretch the bow ribbon a bit
to cover the edges of the heart
Add same drop shadow
Open missy_sp_blossom1
Copy and paste onto your canvas
Resize by 60% and sharpen
Drag below Flower 3 layer
Position on the right side of your template
(see mine for reference)
Duplicate > Mirror and merge the two blossom layers together
Merge down
Copy and paste your tube and position to your liking
Add same drop shadow
Click on large rectangle layer
Open missy_sp_envelope1
Copy and paste onto your canvas and center over rectangle and heart
Resize by 80% and position on large rectangle
(see mine for placement)
Open missy_sp_notepaper
Copy and paste onto your canvas
Drag below envelope layer
Free rotate 14 degrees right and resize by 90%
Erase any paper showing outside the envelope
Merge note paper and envelope together
Add same drop shadow
Add any text you’d like on your note paper
Resize to fit and convert to raster
Free rotate 14 degrees right
Open missy_sp_tinplaque
Copy and paste onto your canvas
Resize by 20% and position at the bottom of your envelope
Sharpen and add same drop shadow
Click on your top layer of your layers palette
Add a new raster layer
Change your foreground color to a color from your graphic
Click on your brush tool and find the lips brush
Size = 84
Rotation = 329
Click once on the left side of your envelope
Change the rotation to 30 and click once on the right side of your envelope
Rename Lips
Selections > Float > Defloat
Add a new raster layer and flood fill with a color from your graphic
Deselect and delete the original lips layer
Copy and paste onto your canvas and resize/position/duplicate to your liking***
Add your copyright information and any text
Hide your white background and lips layer and merge visible
Crop to layer opaque
Resize by 73% (all layers checked)
Click on your lips layer and unhide
Effects > dbs flux > bright noise
Intensity = 35
Mix = checked
Hit Ok
Edit > Copy Merged
Let's Animate!
Open Animation Shop
Ctrl V to paste as new animation
Back in PSP
Hit Undo once
Effects > Bright Noise
Hit the Mix button twice
Hit Ok
Edit > Copy Merged
Back in AS
Edit > Paste After Current Frame
Hit your right arrow once to activate new frame
Back in PSP
Hit Undo once
Effects > Bright Noise
Hit the Mix button twice
Hit Ok
Edit > Copy Merged
Back in AS
Edit > Paste After Current Frame
Crtl + A to select all frames
Animation > Animation Properties
Click Opaque and change color to white
Hit OK
Animation > Resize Animation (if necessary)
View > Animation
File > SAVE AS!!!!
