I’m using the fabulous licensed work PinUpToons which can be purchased at CILM  

Supplies needed:

 PSP

(I wrote this in X but any version will work)

Plugins: No outside plugins used

Tube of choice

Font of choice: I used Kayleigh HERE

Template: Template 17 by me HERE

Let’s get started!

 Download, unzip and open your font

Open your template in PSP

Shift + D to duplicate and close the original

Delete copyright information

Click on your bracket layer

Selections > Float > Defloat

Open FriendsBkg6

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Position so that only the solid color is within the marching ants

Selections > Invert > Delete

Add drop shadow

0, 0, 60, 8   

Delete bracket layer

Click on rectangle 1 layer

Selections > Float > Defloat

Open FriendsBkg1

Resize by 50%

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Selections > Invert > Delete

Add same drop shadow

Delete rectangle 1 layer

Click on rectangle 2 layer

Selections > Float > Defloat

Open FriendsBkg5

Resize by 25%

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Selections > Invert > Delete

Add same drop shadow

Delete rectangle 3 layer

Open RaffiaBow

Resize by 75%

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Position near the bottom of your rectangle 2 layer

Use your selection tool to crop off excess ribbon on the

right and left side of the rectangle

Sharpen and add same drop shadow

Click on left strip 1 layer

Selections > Float > Defloat

Open FriendsBkg6

Resize by 20%

Click on your background fill layer

Click on the Patterns tab and find FriendsBkg6

Angle = 45

Scale = 25

Add a new raster layer and flood fill with pattern

Deselect and sharpen

Add same drop shadow

Delete left strip 1 layer

Click on left strip 2 layer

Selections > Float > Defloat

Open FriendsBkg4

Resize by 20%

Click on your background fill layer

Click on the Patterns tab and find FriendsBkg6

Angle = 90

Scale = 10

Add a new raster layer and flood fill with pattern

Deselect and sharpen

Add same drop shadow

Delete  left strip 2 layer

Click on your heart dots layer

Selections > Float > Defloat

Set your foreground to a light color from your layout and your background to a dark color from your layout

Click on your foreground and click on gradient

Choose your Foreground-background gradient

Angle = 130

Repeats = 15

Add a new raster layer and flood fill the dots with your gradient

Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise

Uniform, 80, Monochrome checked

Hit Ok

Ctrl Y to reapply Noise

Deselect and delete your heart dots layer

Add same drop shadow

Click on dog bone layer

Selections > Float > Defloat

Click on your foreground on your materials palette

Change the color to #ca966e

Add a new raster layer and flood fill

Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise

Random, 23, Monochrome checked

Hit OK

Ctrl Y to reapply Noise

Add the following Inner Bevel:

Hit Ok

Ctrl Y to reapply Inner Bevel again

Add a drop shadow

2, 2, 40, 10

Delete dog bone layer

Click on your paw prints layer

Selections > Float > Defloat

Change your foreground to #623120

Add a new raster layer and flood fill

Apply the following Inner Bevel:

Hit ok

Add same drop shadow and delete paw print layer

Image > Canvas Size

Change your height to 725, top placement

(erase any background papers if they are showing and flood fill with white if needed)

Open BestFriend word art

Resize by 22%

Copy and paste onto your canvas and position centered at the top of your canvas

Click on your pen tool

Mode = Draw Lines and Polylines

Line width = 5

Foreground color = black

Hold your shift key down and draw a line through the word “Mans”

Convert to raster and free rotate 10 degrees right

Activate your text tool

Change your background to black and your foreground to null

Select your font and type the word “My”

Grab the rotate handle and rotate the word a bit

Convert to raster and add the same drop shadow

Copy and paste your tube and position to your liking

Add a drop shadow

Open DogCopy

Resize by 35%

Copy and paste onto your canvas and position to your liking

Sharpen and add a drop shadow

0, 0, 60, 8

Open Button3

Resize by 25%

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Free rotate 25 degrees right and sharpen

Add your copyright and name

Merge Visible

Image > Resize by 68%, all layers checked

Save as png
