Snowy Nights

I’m using the fabulous licensed work of Jennifer Janesko which can be purchased at CILM

 

Supplies needed:

 PSP

(I wrote this in X but any version will work)

Animation Shop

Plugins: Xero > Porcelain HERE

Eye Candy > Gradient Glow

Tube of choice

Font of choice - I used Passions Conflict ROB (PTU)

Let’s get started!

 

Download and unzip your filter to your filters folder

Open a new canvas, 800 X 800 (we’ll resize later)

Flood fill with white

 

Open Wreath-Plain

Copy and paste a onto your canvas

Resize by 115% and sharpen

Add a drop shadow

0, 0, 80, 10

 

Open p1

Open Frame-5

Copy and paste onto your paper

With your magic wand, click outside the frame

Selections > Modify > Smooth

(set both values to 10 and both boxes checked)

Click on your paper and hit delete

 

Click on your frame layer

With your magic wand again, click inside the frame

Selections > Modify > Expand by 3

Selections > Modify > Smooth

Hit Ok

Click on your paper layer and hit delete

Sharpen your frame once and merge visible

Copy and paste onto your canvas and center on wreath

Resize by 130%

 

 Click on your white background layer

Open Image 20

Resize by 50%

Copy and paste onto your canvas and position at the top left of your frame

Drag below wreath layer

Duplicate snowflake and mirror

Duplicate > Flip

Duplicate > Mirror

Merge snowflakes together and sharpen

 

Open Tying the Knot-3

Image > Rotate right

Copy and paste onto your canvas and position on the right side of your frame

Use your raster deform tool to stretch the ribbon so that it’s longer then the frame a bit at the top and bottom

 

Open CallaLillies1

Resize by 70%

Copy and paste onto your canvas and position over the bow knot

(see mine for placement)

 

Zoom in on the knot and drop the opacity of the flower so you can see the knot through it

Click on your eraser tool

Drop the hardness and opacity to about 60 and erase the stems that are covering the knot

 

Click on your frame layer

Click outside y our frame with your magic wand

Selections > Modify > Smooth

Hit Ok

 

Click on your ribbon layer and hit delete

Merge your flowers with your ribbon and then merge down with your frame

Add same drop shadow

 

Copy and paste your tube and position to your liking

Effects > Xero > Porcelain

Use the default settings and hit Ok

Add same drop shadow

 

Open your starglitter

Using your rectangle selection tool, select one of the glitter strands

Copy and paste onto your canvas and position on your wreath.

Duplicate the strand to your liking and decorate as you wish

When you are happy with the results, merge your starglitter layers

Add a drop shadow

2, 0, 50, 2

 

Open Swirly Ivy 3

Image > Rotate Left

Resize by 85%

Copy and paste onto your canvas and position towards the bottom of your frame

Sharpen and add a drop shadow

0, 0, 80, 10

Duplicate layer and move down a bit

 

Open one of your message boards

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Free rotate 20 degrees left and position at the top left of your frame

Sharpen and add same drop shadow

 

Open papers 1 and 5

Set your materials background to pattern and find paper 5

Angle = 0

Scale = 50

 

Set your foreground to pattern and find paper 1

Angle = 0

Scale = 25

 

Choose a font that you like and type out your text

Convert to raster and add a drop shadow

4, 4, 60 4

Add a gradient glow

(I used white, with a width of 10 pixels and an opacity of 50)

 

Add your copyright information

 

Hide your white background and merge your layers together

 

Image > Resize to 500 X 500, all layers checked

Sharpen and save as .png
