Truly Scrumptious

This tutorial was created by me on September 5, 2008.

I’m using the fabulous licensed work Joel Adams which can be purchased at CILM  

Supplies needed:

 PSP (I wrote this in X but any version will work)

Animation Shop

Plugins: Mura Meister Copies and Dbs Flux (get them both HERE)

Xero > Porcelain (get it HERE)

Alien Skin Xenofex 2 > Constellation (you can download the DEMO version HERE)

Mask: BflyFlbyMask22 HERE

Scrap Kit (FTU): So Pretty by KITTZ KREATIONZ

Let’s get started!

Unzip your filters to your filters folder 

Put your mask in your Mask folder

Unzip your scrap kit

Open a new canvas 800 X 800 and flood fill with white

Open a paper that compliments your tube

Layers > Load/Save Mask from Disk

Find BflyFlbyMask22 from the drop down

Fit to canvas, Show all mask and Source Luminance checked

Hit OK

Merge Group

Copy and paste as new layer onto your canvas

Copy and paste one of your plastic flowers

Resize by 50%

Effects > Filters > Mura Meister > Copies with the following settings:

Add the following drop shadow

0, 0, 50, 5

Copy and paste Pretty Double Frame onto your canvas

Select inside each of the frames with your magic wand

(Mode = Add/Shift)

Selections > Modify > Expand by 4

Open another paper from the kit and copy/paste as new layer

Drag below frame

Selections > Invert

Hit Delete

Activate the paper layer you just copied

Select inside each of the frames with your magic wand

Selections > Modify > expand by 3

Add a new raster layer and drag below paper layer

Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout with the following settings:

V/H = 0

Opacity = 100

Blur = 10

Color = Black

Hit OK

Highlight your paper layer and merge down

Copy and paste your tube of choice for each frame

(I used the full same tube for each frame; original for the right side and just the face for the left)

**If you are using a standing tube for one of them:

Drag tube layer below double frame

With your tube layer highlighted:

Selections > Select all > Float > Defloat

Click on your frame and erase any of the frame showing within the marching ants

Deselect

Click on your tube layer and erase any part extending below the frame you don’t want showing

Add a drop shadow

2, 2, 75, 7.5

Highlight your left tube

Selections > Float

Effects > Xero > Porcelain with the following settings:

Hit OK

Add a drop shadow to your double frame

0, 0, 50, 5

Copy and paste your Pretty Flower3

Resize by 50% twice and sharpen

Add the above drop shadow and center in middle of frame

Copy and paste one of your heart dangles, resize by 75% and sharpen

Position on the top left of your frame and erase any of the top loop visible in front of your frame

Add same drop shadow

Copy and paste your Diamond Charm

Resize by 50% and sharpen

Position in the middle of your frame at the bottom

(see mine for placement)

Add same drop shadow

Copy and paste your favorite word art from the kit

and position to your liking

Add a drop shadow

2, 2, 50, 5

Add your copyright information and any text.

Hide your bottom 3 layers (circle flower frame you made, mask and white background)

Merge Visible

Resize by 65% (all layers checked)

Unhide your bottom 3 layers

Crop off any excess white background

Highlight your mask layer and rename Mask

Duplicate 3 times

Hide the 2 copies and highlight the first mask layer

Effects > Plugins > dbs flux > Bright Noise with the following settings:

Hide mask layer and unhide copy of mask

Re-apply Bright Noise but hit Mix twice

Hit Ok

Hide copy of mask layer and unhide Copy (2) of mask

Apply Bright Noise again and hit Mix 2 times

Hit Ok

Hide top 2 mask layers and unhide the bottom one

Highlight your flower circle and rename Flower Circle

Duplicate 2 times

Hide your top 2 layers and highlight the Flower Circle layer

Effects > Plugins > Alien Skin Xenofex 2 > Constellation

with the following settings:

Hide flower circle layer and unhide copy of flower circle

Re-apply Constellation but hit Random Seed once

Hit Ok

Hide copy of flower circle layer and unhide Copy (2) of flower circle

Apply Constellation again and hit Random Seed once

Hit Ok

Hide top 2 flower circle layers and unhide the bottom one

Hide your white background layer

Ready to animate?

Here’s what your layer palette should look like:

Edit > Copy Merged

Open Animation Shop

Ctrl + V to Paste as new Animation

Back in PSP

Hide your mask and flower circle layer and unhide

your copy of each one

Edit > Copy Merged

Back in Animation Shop

Edit > Paste after Current Frame

Hit your right arrow once

Back in PSP

Hide your copies of mask and flower circle layer and unhide your copy (2) of each one

Edit > Copy Merged

Back in Animation Shop

Edit > Paste after Current Frame

Ctrl + A to select all frames

Animation > Animation Properties

Click Opaque and change color to white

Hit OK

View > Animation and SAVE!
