I’m using the fabulous licensed work Martin Abel which can be purchased at CILM 

Supplies needed:

 PSP

(I wrote this in X but any version will work)

Animation Shop

Plugins: Lokas Software > 3D Shadow (get it HERE)

Eye Candy (any version) > Gradient Glow

Alien Skin Xenofex 2 > Lightening  (you can download a DEMO version HERE)

Tube of choice

Font(s): VooDoo Doll (letters) HERE and Creeper HERE or fonts of choice 

Mask: UFMask13 by Sunf of Urban Fairytales HERE

Let’s get started!

Put your mask in your Mask folder

Download your filters to your Filter folder and unzip there

Open a new canvas 700 X 700 and flood fill with white

Open Poisoned BG12

Layers > Load/Save Mask from Disk

Find UFMask13 from the drop down

Invert Transparency checked

Hit OK

Merge Group

Copy and paste as new layer onto your canvas

Open Poisoned BG11

Layers > Load/Save Mask from Disk

Hit OK

Merge Group

Copy and paste as new layer onto your canvas

Image > Mirror

 Open Poisoned Frame 4

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Resize by 90%

Hold your Ctrl key down and hit your up directional arrow twice

Add a drop shadow to your frame

0, 0, 75, 7

Open Poisoned Dead Tree

Copy and paste onto your canvas and drag below frame layer

Position so that the branches are sticking out from the left side and top of the frame

Duplicate layer and mirror

Duplicate again and center tree on canvas aligned with the other two trees

Click on your left tree

Effects > Lokas Software > 3D Shadow with the following settings:

Repeat same shadow for the other 2 trees

Merge your 3 trees together

Open Poisoned Book

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Drag below frame layer and move up until the bottom of the book sits just inside your frame

Drop the opacity of the frame so you can see the paper through it

Using your eraser tool, erase the part of the frame between the arrows shown below

Use your freehand selection tool (point to point) to get the corner edge like below:

Hit delete

Click on your book layer and erase any of the grey outside of the right, left and bottom of your frame leaving the paper showing above the top right of your frame

(see mine for reference)

Open your Poisoned Voodoo Doll

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Resize by 30% and position in the bottom left corner of your frame

Drag below your frame layer

Selections > Select All > Float > Defloat

Click on your frame layer and erase the part of the frame covering the left side of his head and his arm

Click on the doll layer and erase his bottom and leg showing below the frame

Sharpen and add same drop shadow

Open Poisoned Hellz

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Resize by 40% and drag below voodoo doll layer

Sharpen and add same drop shadow

Open Poisoned Bunny

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Resize by 30% and free rotate 90 degrees right

Drag above voodoo doll layer and position so his head is resting on the frame

Erase the ear hanging below the frame

Sharpen and add same drop shadow

Merge your voodoo dolls together

Open Poisoned Cross 1

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Resize by 60% and center on your left page

Add the following drop shadow

2, 2, 75, 1

Repeat with V/H = -2

Add a gradient glow of 10

Drag below voodoo dolls layer

(I also added some text on the left page using VooDooDollLetters font)

Click on your frame layer

Open Poisoned Ribbon

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Resize by 55% and sharpen

Position on left side of frame

Click on your voodoo doll layer

Selection < Float > Defloat

Click on your ribbon layer and erase all ribbon

inside the marching ants

Deselect and add same drop shadow

Copy and paste your tube

**I used a sitting pose tube and removed parts of the frame I didn’t want showing**

Effects > Plugins > Lokas 3D Shadow with the following settings:

Open your Poisoned Pin and Poisoned Pin 2

Copy and paste onto your canvas

**if your tube allows it, put one of the pins in its hand and add

a gradient glow of 10**

Duplicate your pins as your wish and position to your liking

Merge your pins together and add a drop shadow of

1, 1, 75, 1

Repeat drop shadow

Open Poisoned Chain

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Position on top of frame at the bottom

Erase any part of the chain covering your tube and voodoo doll

Add a drop shadow

Open Poisoned Doodle 2

Copy and paste onto your canvas

Drag below book layer and position top left of your frame

Duplicate layer

Image > Mirror > Flip

Merge doodles together

Add your copyright and any text

(I used Creeper font)

Hide your text and white background layer and merge visible

Resize to no more then 500 pixels on the longest side

(all layers checked)

Feel free to end here and save as .png or continue on to add some animation!

Unhide your text layers

If you’ve put text at the top, click on that layer

Add a new raster layer and drag below top text layer

Effects > Plugins > Alien Skin Xenofex 2 > Lightening

Click on your Glow tab and use the following settings:

Click on your Basic tab and use the following settings:

Click OK

Rename Lightening 1

Using your mover tool and position the top of the lightening arc behind one of your letters

Add a new raster layer

Effects > Plugins > Alien Skin Xenofex 2 > Lightening

Hit your Random Seed until you get an effect you like

Click OK and rename Lightening 2

Position behind another letter in your text

Add a new raster layer

Effects > Plugins > Alien Skin Xenofex 2 > Lightening

Hit your Random Seed until you get an effect you like

Click OK and rename Lightening 3

Image > Mirror

Position behind another letter in your text

Add a new raster layer

Effects > Plugins > Alien Skin Xenofex 2 > Lightening

Hit your Random Seed until you get an effect you like

Click OK and rename Lightening 4

Image > Mirror

Position behind another letter in your text

Add a new raster layer

Effects > Plugins > Alien Skin Xenofex 2 > Lightening

Hit your Random Seed until you get an effect you like

Click OK and rename Lightening 5

Position behind another letter in your text

Let’s Animate!!!

Unhide your text and Lightening 1

Here’s what your layer palette should look like:

Edit > Copy Merged

Open Animation Shop

Ctrl + V to Paste as new Animation

Back in PSP

Hide your Lightening 1 layer and unhide Lightening 2 layer

Edit > Copy Merged

Back in Animation Shop

Edit > Paste after Current Frame

Hit your right arrow once

Back in PSP

Hide your Lightening 2 layer and unhide Lightening 3 layer

Edit > Copy Merged

Back in Animation Shop

Edit > Paste after Current Frame

Hit your right arrow once

Back in PSP

Hide your Lightening 3 layer and unhide Lightening 4 layer

Edit > Copy Merged

Back in Animation Shop

Edit > Paste after Current Frame

Hit your right arrow once

Back in PSP

Hide your Lightening 4 layer and unhide Lightening 5 layer

Edit > Copy Merged

Back in Animation Shop

Edit > Paste after Current Frame

Ctrl + A to select all frames

Animation > Animation Properties

Click Opaque and change color to white

Hit OK

Animation > Frame Properties > 30

Resize to your liking

View > Animation and SAVE AS!
